I once had a boss tell me she’d never hire someone she couldn’t Google. She was so right. That’s the first thing I do when I’m considering working with someone, whether as an employee, an intern or a client.

But if you do, the content that’s out there can be really telling. Try Googling yourself and see what pops up. Is that what you want a prospective employer or journalist to find? Does it accurately convey your personal brand?
